Youths and adolescent (10-25yrs) account for more than two thirds of the Tanzania total population. This bulge in young population necessitate investments to  cater for their multifaceted needs across sectors to facilitate their contribution in the national development endeavors.  Issues facing adolescents and youth in Tanzania include, Increase the rate of teenage pregnancy (27%), Increased maternal mortality ratio, High incidences of HIV infections, increased rate of Sexual and Gender based violence etc. Opportunities for investing in  adolescent and youth.
